Many of us don’t know what actually silica gel is. Some think that it is salt, some say its a semi-liquid substance, but it is neither of them.

But, silica gel is something else.

As per wikipedia.org “Silica gel is a granular, vitreous, porous form of silica made synthetically from sodium silicate. Despite its name, silica gel is a solid. It is a naturally occurring mineral that is purified and processed into either granular or beaded form. As a desiccant, it has an average pore size of 2.4 nanometers and has a strong affinity for water molecules.”

Silica gel is most found in everyday life as beads packed in vapour permeability. In this form it is controlled disickant to local humidity, which was to avoid the loss or deterioration. Dobantes toxic and very high absorption of moisture eat silica gel packets usually bear warnings for the user content.
